April Moncrief will be a guest speaker at the Dope Wives Fall Retreat 2016 REGISTER HERE! After a Traumatic divorce, April Moncrief and her husband committed to rebuilding their marriage with renewed faith, counseling, love, and prayer. They breathed new life into their relationship by making significant changes in themselves and in the way they interact with and treat one another. With the heart of a teacher, April felt a calling to share what they’d learned with other couples. As a marriage restoration speaker and workshop facilitator, April gives women and couples practical strategies to build or rebuild a stronger marriage with a foundation that’s better able to survive life’s inevitable crises. A stay-at-home mother of twins, April writes about the joys, challenges, obstacles, and triumphs of marriage and family life on her website, AprilTMoncrief.com Her book, ‘How My Divorce Saved My Marriage’ was certainly not a part of her "planned" writing. The book was inspired by her real life marriage, divorce and subsequent re-marriage to her husband Herman Moncrief. April and her husband never saw themselves becoming the spokespersons for marriage and divorce, however, God had different plans. The book chronicles their real life struggles with the new age problem and burden of "Having It All". The book tells the story of two people who worked very hard within their relationship as well as within their careers to obtain the life and the "things" that they thought were supposed to make them happy. Dueling demanding careers, family issues and then add on top of that, the unexpected surprise of being blessed with twins. It may sound like a dream come true to most people but for the Moncriefs, people who had planned out almost every "Important" event in their lives, it was a disaster in the making.
